2-year-old birthday present
My daughter turns 2 in a few weeks. Any ideas about what to buy her for her birthday. We have lots of cars and trucks and trains so I am thinking about going a bit more feminine and getting her a crib and stroller for her doll or maybe a wooden doll house. She loves painting and puzzles, but we have plenty of those things. (Oh, I did get her a tin box of square crayons already. Man are those expensive.)

We bought my niece one of the digital cameras for kids even though we thought she might be too young. She now takes pics of her sister when her mom does and it's really cute.
My daughter turned 2 in March and she loves the girly stuff. We have tons of boy stuff with having a 4 year old boy, but she gravitates to the girly stuff.
Here are some ideas:
dress up clothes-even just hats are fun
pretend food
shopping cart
stroller (like you suggested)
There are items such as Barbie and My Little Pony that are not recommended for their age, but my daughter got several ponies, and one very basic Barbie. I take all the little bitty pieces away and she loves the actual pony and Barbie.
One more idea-with it getting to be summertime-anything she can take in the sand or pool. Boats, fish, etc. We have a mermaid that my daughter likes to bring to the pool.
Happy shopping!
Doll accessories sound like a good idea -- my daughter (who's 2.5) loves the baby dolls and gear she got her her birthday. There's a Graco-branded set at Target that has a stroller, a pack-and-play, a swing/highchair combo and a diaper bag, all for about $30. My daughter loves it and plays with it every single day.
If she doesn't already have one, a play kitchen can be a lot of fun at this age, too. You can usually get some good, inexpensive used ones off of Craig's List.
If your daughter likes to be outside, a tricycle could be fun. We're planning on getting that for my daughter's 3rd birthday, although I wish we had thought about sooner.
