40,000+ pills

Today, Raleigh citizens dropped off over 40,000 pills at the Prescription Drug Drop-Off.  That means 40,000 fewer chances for our children and teens to become one of the 2,500 adolescents nationwide who abuse a prescription pill for the first time every day.

We plan to do more of these in the future and thank everyone who helped make the day a success, both in terms of pill diversion from potential abuse, and in terms of raising awareness about prescription pill abuse and how to properly dispose of unneeded and expired pills.
