We did a lot of walks and reading books to my daughter when she was that young. We'd put her on the floor on her back and we'd lay on our backs and hold the book up so she could see the pictures.
Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh does actually have an area for infants. It's closed off from the rest of the activity and has toys and stuff. Kidzu Children's Museum in Chapel Hill does too. I just wonder if you get your money's worth when you take a child so young.
Maybe a trip to a playground - your child is obviously too young to play but might love to see all the kids playing.
It is hard to find things to do with a little one before he or she starts crawling. I agree that a trip to the playground might be nice. My little ones loved watching bigger kids play and you can get a feel for which playgrounds in your area are more appropriate for toddlers or older kids. If your little one likes books, a trip to the library might also be fun. Most of the libraries have a pretty good supply of board books so you can get some more variety than you may have at home.
Planet Child in Apex also has an infant area, but that probably won't be fun until yours is mobile.

Does anyone know of any Mom and Baby yoga classes offered in Durham?
Thanks!
