Baby Bottles Safe

Baby bottles and plastic bottles are safe, according to an FDA official. Small amounts of the chemical break down, but the exposure levels are safe, he says in an Associated Press article. But not everyone's convinced. Read the article.

I don't know about you, but I'm kind of feeling a little whiplash after all the news about BPA last month. Still not regretting my decision to throw away some stuff.

I just bought a Nalgene BPA free water bottle for myself. I immediately tasted a difference in the water. It made me really wonder about all the other bottles in the house (the girls sippy cups and my travel mugs). I am a bit of a moderate. My plan - I won't through away everying we already have, but going forward I am going BPA-free.

I'm not easily comforted by the FDA these days.

I threw out all of our No. 7 bottles and urged my husband to throw out his old Nalgene bottle. Not all sippy cup manufacturers stamp a plastic code on the bottom of their products so I contacted those companies to make sure those were safe. It may be going overboard, but I feel better.

I decided to buy the glass baby bottles for our newest addition. I guess so did alot of others because the first few sites I went to to purchase them...they were sold out
