Bassinet or crib?

Right now I have my 4-month old son in a Pack 'n Play bassinet in my room. I moved my older son into his own room and crib at 4 months.

I can't bear to send Jackson off on his own yet, partially because he still gets up to eat most nights and partially because I want to hold on to the little baby days just a little longer.

How long did you keep your little one in your room?

It was right around four months - but her bedroom is just around the corner. Our beds share a wall - so she wasn't very far away. I think if she were any farther I'd have kept her in my room longer.

We moved our daughter into a crib in her own room right around 4 months also. She was in a bassinet next to our bed for the first 2 months. Then we went through about two months where she wouldn't sleep anywhere except in her bouncy seat which was also in our room. I was amazed when she actaully slept in her crib. It was frightening, at first, to have her in a different room. Overall, I think it was the right time for us. Wait until you feel comfortable and ready to send her off. I think they are ok, we are the ones who have a hard time.

Good Luck!

You sound just like me ... my first son I had in his crib at 2mths. My last baby (who is now 7mths) is still in my room!!! I think it is the fact I know he is my last baby and I just can't stand him growing up so fast. I'm on vacation though next week and have vowed to move him to his room ... we'll see.

I move them around 2 months. I use a pack-n-play in our room at first and then move them to their room to the crib at 2 months. I had a hard time with our last one (now almost 4 months old). Just seemed so hard for some reason. She was around 2.5 months I think. She had started sleeping all night in the baby swing. I was ready to sleep in my own bed again and alone with hubby.
