Best Weekend Bets: Masked Marvels, Scare on the Capitol Square and more this weekend

Carrboro's SuperFun series for kids will present Masked Marvels and Wondertales at 11 a.m. Saturday. The show features Michael Cooper, who uses original stories and mime, along with his masks.

Check out the Scare on the Square at the State Capitol from 5:30 p.m.t o 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The event includes a tour of the 169-year-old building, along with music and carriage rides to keep you entertained while you wait for your tour. Tours are limited so be sure to pre-register.

It's a Family Day at Lazy O Farm in Smithfield. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, explore the maze, learn where your food comes from and check out the pumpkin patch.

Spend Saturday learning all about chemistry at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences' Chemistry Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's free.

Raleigh's Cameron Village holds a Turkish storytime at 11 a.m. Saturday. You don't need to speak Turkey to attend.
