Camps/summer activities to recommend?
As relatively new residents to the Raleigh/Cary/Holly Springs area, I'd like some advice on what types of camps and summer activities work well for other moms. Do you enroll in local parks and rec department camps and sports activities? Go to the YMCA? Are there other resources for keeping kids active in the summer that you can recommend?

The Raleigh Parks and Rec has a booklet with tons of stuff listed for the area. We just sorta do our own thing. This summer they did VBS at my parents church and will be going to Camp Adventure at our church - http://www.crossroads.org/ac/Camp_Adventure.htm (Fine Arts and Sports Camp). Other than that we just do playgroups with our MOPS group. We've gone to one Free movie day and plan many more - http://www.regmovies.com/nowshowing/familyfilmfestivalschedule.aspx?state=NC
We go to the science museum downtown for storybook time and petting the animals.
