Carpool or Bus
Are gas prices keeping you out of the carpool lane this year? Apparently Triangle school systems are bracing for an increase in ridership.

Nick has always ridden the bus. He loves the bus! Michele will be riding it this year as well. She is so excited to be riding with her big brother.

My children are at a public charter school so the bus is not an option. Other county school systems offer bus rides to students at public charter schools but Wake Co does not. But as I recall my experiences in riding a school bus in Wake County, I'm okay with driving my girls to school. I'm shocked that the public school system & parents think it's okay to have an adult in charge of 30+ students while operating heavy equipment. They would never tolerate those ratios in Wake county while they are sitting still in a classroom.
Three of my kids attend schools that don't provide public transportation to our house (two kids go to a charter school; one goes to a magnet school out of our district). Yes, it's about a half hour commute each way. Yes, it gets old quickly. Yes, I pay a lot for gas. But, these are great schools for my kids, and seeing them thrive makes it worthwhile.
