Clay Aiken is Gay

I'm going to have to say that I'm not entirely surprised about this revelation from People magazine today. I hope he's happy. His little boy looks a lot like him. And I have to say his first instincts as a dad are correct - to not lie or hide things from his child.

What do you think?

i think this one went without saying! I think alot of ppl wouldn't have been too shocked by this news.

But it's great for him to come out and be upfront with who he is to the world for himself and his son.

Good on him!

I am just numb! Even knowing the truth for 24 hours has not decreased the shock and disappointment I feel. I believed Clay when he said he was straight. Maybe in time I will be able to accept Clay as a gay man. Since he was raised in a Christian home, I hope Clay will fight his urges and remain abstinant For now I pray for Clay, little Parker, and most especially, Faye.

1) Honesty is the best policy. 2) Judge not lest you be judged. 3) Good luck Clay! I hope your fan base will continue to support your telent.

It's not surprising. If I may say this, it's unfortunate. I know firsthand in my family the devastation and abuse that goes on in a lot of gay relationships, so it's not a fun lifestyle, regardless of what Hollywood tells you. I certainly don't say this flippantly or judgementally at all. It's just an observation on my part over a time period of years.

Good for him for being honest. I have so much more respect for him now for being honest. It's really too bad that he couldn't be honest before and still have a career. People really shouldn't cast stones. I believe in accepting people for who they are. For what it's worth I've seen more than one healthy and happy gay relationship. Actually, I've seen more abusive straight relationships that gay ones.
