Congratulations to the five winners of our Goodberry's contest. They'll be enjoying $25 in frozen custard. (Anybody willing to share?)

Here they are:

Karen Cummins lives with her husband of two years in East Raleigh. They are expecting the birth of their first child - a son - any day now. She's a few days late already (if she hasn't already given birth since my last e-mail exchange with her). She and her husband love to sing. That's what brought them together. Check them out here.

Chris McCarthy lives in Cary with her husband, 12-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter. They moved to the area from California in 2000 and love it here.

Carolyn Zahnow lives in Youngsville, but is a Raleigh native (she says she got misplaced over the years). She had a son, but lost him 3.5 years ago to mental illness. She and her husband currently are "owned" by their cute Sheltie mix, Sheila, who brings them great joy and helps them get over the rough spots in the road.

Sallie Abbas lives in Cary. She's the mom of twin sons and the grandmom of 3 children, ages 3 months, 2 years and 5 years.

Emily Elliott lives in Raleigh. She tells me she doesn't have any kids ... yet .
