Updates on three consignment sales coming up.

I've revised the big post from a month or two ago, which you can see here listing more than a dozen local sales, but just wanted to highlight these additions in a separate post.

The public sale for the Durham Children's Consignment Sale is April 4 through April 6. I hear from the sale owners that they are looking to sell the sale itself. In an e-mail to shoppers, Olivia Singleton writes that they are looking for younger and more energetic leadership. If you are interested in taking over the sale, call 309-4506. Olivia writes it would be a good idea if a new owner "shadowed" the current leaders at the spring sale. If no buyer is found, the sale's racks, tables and other fixtures will be available for sale starting March 30.

The Second Blessings consignment sale at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church in Cary is May 8 through May 9. All money raised will be used to support children's ministries at Greenwood Forest. More information should be found at this Web site by the beginning of next week.

And the Friendship Circle sale in Apex will be Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 this year. The sale was postponed because of the sudden death of Katy Williams, the sale coordinator and also co-founder of Upscale Resale. (A portion of the proceeds from the Upscale Resale sale on March 13 and March 14 will go to a fund for Katy's two young children).
