Cute Things Kids Say
So we've got a little stomach bug going on in the house. Fun times.
But thought I'd share this impossibly cute thing my daughter said today. I was in the kitchen, she was playing with her dolls and on her little pretend cell phone. I heard her telling someone that her baby had a "tummy ant" (AKA stomach bug).
Almost matches the time when, after she gave us some orders, I called her a "delegater" to which she replied "no I'm not an alligator" and stomped off.
OK - so let's get all Bill Cosby. Share the cutest things your kids have ever said.

My 3 year old has a never ending list of preschool speak flavored with literal logic. She is simply amazing and I enjoy engaging in conversation with her just to see how she will respond. I am grateful to be savoring these moments with her as she is the youngest of my 4 children - the last one. My husband and I laugh daily at her logical preschool frankness and speak.
During our recent trip to the beach, her first, she proclaimed after several trips into the water, "I don't like the seed weed in that big pool!" I can't blame her, but she was ready to jump back in during the next afternoon.
We were waiting to be seated at a busy restaurant and it was very packed. One of my kids said he felt so constipated, but he meant claustrophobic.
Upon noticing that I had written something on my hand as a reminder to myself, my son (3 years old) said in the most exasperated Parent voice: "Aww Jesus, Mama, what's that on your arm?!" And no, DH has NOT been pardoned for teaching him that phrase.
And while creating a Father's Day card for DH:
Him: "Daddy will believe his eyes when he sees this!"
Me: "You mean Daddy won't believe his eyes?"
Him: "No, Daddy will believe his eyes!"
Me: "Oh....ok!"

Those are hilarious -
My dad (a frequent reader of this web site - thanks Dad!!) says I should also add the 10-minute tantrum yesterday when my DD cried over and over again about how she wanted to "go to the funeral" - we live a couple of blocks from the church where Jesse Helms' funeral is and she was fascinated by all the TV trucks and cameras.
On Saturday, she cried for ten minutes saying over and over again " I want to clean the bathroom" because I was cleaning it and - well she likes to do whatever I do. (Wish it was 5 or 8 years from now when she could.)
Both times she was sobbing, but it can be so hard sometimes not to crack up laughing at the things she says.
DD (2.5) was allowed to stay up for the fireworks this year on July 4. Her cousin (6) explained to her exactly what they were and what would happen, but somehow it all got garbled up in her mind. She started referring to them as "fireworkers," and seemed to expect that they would be actual people. As she was sitting there oohing and ahhing over the colors and the noise, she kept asking me "where are the fireworkers, Mommy?"
She also likes to talk about the things she'll do when she's "big like [her cousin]", and, hilariously, also thinks she's going to get little again. "Mommy, when I get little, I'll drink from a bottle," etc.
