Downtown Raleigh Farmers Market

The Moore Square Farmers Market in downtown Raleigh is opening for the season this Wednesday. It runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and is geared toward downtown workers. But it would be a great place to take kids after a morning at Marbles across the street or the natural sciences or history museums a few blocks away.

There's produce plus breads from La Farm, cheeses from Chapel Hill Creamery and ice cream from Lumpy's.

Whole Foods has prepared foods for purchase and there's often live entertainment and a series featuring local chefs. Great place for a picnic.
