Easy Easter Craft

File this in the category of very easy Easter craft. This isn't for you guys who are all crafty and can whip out a fanciful tablescape or needlepoint in a couple of hours.

This is for those of us who can barely draw a straight line or can't muster the patience for a multi-step craft. Or for those of us who are just trying to fill the time between nap and bedtime.

You can make this any time of year and for any reason. We did it for Easter this year. I like giving away crafts to the grandparents, but I now they have only so much use for some of it. This one is actually pretty utilitarian if you have a grandparent who is a big reader.

What you need

Glue
A strip of card stock or cut a bookmark-sized strip out of an old cereal box (glue colored paper on it for extra beauty)
Colored paper
Googly eyes, feathers, markers, crayons, stickers or whatever you need to decorate your book mark

What you do

This bookmark has as little animal or other design popping off the top of it. Decided what you want to make. My daughter wanted to make a bird. If you're doing that, or another animal, cut out an oval shape for the head and glue it on your bookmark-sized strip of cereal box or card stock. Decorate it with ears, wings, face, or whatever you want. You could make it an egg too and have your child decorate it however she wanted.

You're done.
