Elementary School Scouting
Okay so I anticipate that I'll be in the market for a home at the same time that my child will enter Kindergarten. While I know school assignments change like the wind, I'd like for the school assignment to play a major role in where I decide to buy a home. I know each experience is different but I'd like to hear from moms who are passionately against X school and the reasons why. Any advice would be great, but I'm really looking for the red flags, steer clear of X school. And of course I will be doing my own research, but it's always great to have multiple resources :)

I have a friend who lives in the Fox Road Elementary area and she's moving or sending her daughter to private school because she's heard bad things about the school. Her daughter will be heading to kindergarten next year too. She said a neighbor teaches there and doesn't recommend it ... but don't know any specifics.

Unfortunately schools can go bad on a dime. One bad administrator,a population shift, anything can change the dynamics of a school for the better or worse at any time, and as you pointed out, with reassignments, NOTHING is a given. I think it's a mistake to count a school out, or in.....sorry....but it's also VERY subjective.
