Explore the Greenway
I've explored about a half mile of greenway in this area, which I know is pretty pitiful since there's so much out there. So I was inspired by this story in The N&O this week to explore a little bit more.
The story is about a 14-mile stretch of the greenway in Wake County from Raleigh near the N.C. Museum of Art to Cary. Joe Miller, the reporter, points out interesting things to do along the way - the skate park in Cary, boating on Lake Crabtree, Ben and Jerry's.
Sure my three-year-old is not going to bike the entire 14 miles herself. But I'm sure I can pick off shorter trips. She'd love to watch the skaters at Godbold Park or get in a boat at Lake Crabtree.
If nothing else, it's a good reason to fill my monthly requirement for some chocolate fudge brownie ice cream at Ben and Jerry's.
