Fall parks programs
It's coming time again to sign up for fall programs at some of the Triangle's parks and recreation departments.
Here are some of the big ones:
Raleigh: Mail-in registration begins Aug. 4. Walk-in and online registration starts Aug. 18. Click here for the brochure and details.
Durham: The Play More Program Guide for September to December will be available at parks and online on Aug. 14. Click here for Durham's park Web site.
Cary: Online, EZ-REG mail and phone registration for fall programs started Monday for Cary residents. They can walk-in and register at staffed facilities starting Aug. 3. Nonresidents can register via any EZ-REG method starting Aug. 10. Click here for the brochure and details (and to find out what exactly EZ-REG is all about).
Chapel Hill: Registration starts the day the brochure comes out: Aug. 31. Click here for the town's parks Web site.
Apex: Registration for community center and Halle Cultural Arts Center programs started July 27 for Apex residents and will begin Aug. 10 for everybody else. Athletic registration program dates are case-by-case. See the program guide, which you can find by clicking here.
Carrboro: The fall brochure is scheduled to come out Aug. 17. Click here for Carrboro's Web site.
Clayton: The brochure will come out in September. Click here for Clayton's Web site.
Garner: The brochure will be available at town recreation centers and online on Aug. 18. Registration starts Aug. 20. Click here for the Garner parks Web site.
Wake Forest: The town's RecConnect brochures will be available next week online, at Flaherty Park Community Center, the local library and the Wake Forest chamber of commerce office. Registration for fall programs starts Aug. 10. Click here for the park department's Web site.
