Farmers Markets

There's a great list of all the farmers markets in the Triangle with hours, Web sites and locations in today's News & Observer, as part of food writer Andrea Weigl's story about young farmers.

Starting around this time of year, we make the trip to the Raleigh Farmers Market a lot more often. Looks like strawberry season is just beginning.

Thanks for posting the "What's in Season" chart. I can't wait to pick strawberries with my kids.

I think I'm going to have to get together a strawberry picking place list. Just got an e-mail from Volmer Farms in Bunn that they're ready there.

Where do you go?

I've only been to one place and I can't remember the name but I'll ask a friend. It wasn't too far from Carrboro. I try to stick with organic farms for picking fruit with my kids because they like to pick and eat, which I know isn't technically allowed, but ....

A list would be great.
