Yes, I am hoping to try for Number 2 in the fall of this year. I wanted to start sooner b/c you never know if you will get pregnant right away or not. I have a miscarriage in my past, I am 36 years old and so I am worried that things won't work out as I hope. Also, my Number 1 is so wonderful and I have a hard time figuring out how I am going juggle two and give them all the love and attention they both deserve. I am one of four, so I know that it is humanly possible to "share the love" but I still wonder. Then there is the thought of how to juggle, finances and time and date nights etc. I wish I had three or four years to spread amoung two kids, but I don't.
I honestly have not found it hard at all to give them all the attention they need. The oldest was always in love with his sissy. He now is totally in love with both the younger 2, and he himself gives them a lot of attention. I also think that has a lot to do with how we ourselves fster that love from the time you know you are pregnant.
I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks, before getting pregnant with my 3rd. It was very scary!!
I wish you the best of luck on #2, and I am sure it will all fall into place!
yes, my husband and i are currently planning #1. we are completely nervous about the whole process, but we know we have to start soon if we plan on a #2 somewhere in the future. we are both turning 30 in the next few weeks. so, we plan to start trying after the 1st of the year for a 2009 fall baby. hopefully all goes as planned. i worry about finances, daycare, the reaction from our 2 dogs.... so many things to think about! I hope to learn from you experienced moms!
Hey ArbonneMom and LaurenW, I'm working on a study with Moms trying to conceive between 30 and 45 years old. You get free pregnancy tests, $20-37, and a free ultrasound. We ask you to come to UNC or Rex for a 20 minute visit where we obtain a single blood and urine sample and you fill out fertility calendars while you're trying to conceive. We've enrolled over 100 women in the Triangle and everyone seems to be really happy to help us. You can find out more at www.med.unc.edu/timetoconceive and email me at fertiliy@unc.edu or call 843-8246. I hope this isn't too much like an ad, but women really seem to like participating and you're helping us learn more about fertility in women!!
