Getting the Gear

Getting the right gear when you start running or walking is so important! Here are a couple of quick tips: There are two stores in the area that do a great job fitting you for shoes. Try Sports at Crabtree Valley Mall and Fleet Feet on Wade ave. Expect to spend about 45 min. on this process - worth it for the right shoe. I know that running socks are expensive, but, again, worth the investment to not have blisters and sore feet - trust me. And these socks last forever. Finally, get yourself a good sports bra. For running, you want the maximum support. Try them on. They will feel akward and tight, but you should still be able to get it off and on without too much difficulty. They make sports bras for all sizes now, so there's no excuse for not finding one. Hand wash and don't put them in the dryer to keep them for a while. Now, give it a try and get out there!
