Help Local Kids
There are a couple opportunities to help out some local kids over the next couple of weeks.
Jack's Day, which runs from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday in Holly Springs is a benefit for Jack Murray, an almost three-year-old little boy who was diagnosed with Common Variable Immune Deficiency, which does not allow for his immune system to appropriately produce antibodies. It's led to lots of complications. There will be live music, kid's activities, a silent auction and more. Go here for details.
And, on April 30, Vince Gill will be headed to the Triangle for a concert to benefit the Pediatric Oncology Department at UNC Children's Hospital. Tickets are $50 to $100 for the 8 p.m. concert at Memorial Hall. The singer offered to play after hearing about the son of a UNC assistant baseball coach, whose leukemia is in remission. For more information about Reece Holbrook, the little boy, go here.
