I know it's spring when ...
At my house, I know it's spring (don't laugh) when we flip the reversible comforter in the bedroom from the darker plaid to the lighter stripes. It's sort of a joke between my husband and I. It's the last nice thing we bought ourselves before my daughter arrived four years ago.
And we start eating grilled chicken on a regular basis - though we're eating the cheaper thighs and legs instead of the breasts now.
What do you do at your house to mark the change of seasons?

Socks stop being worn, and the flip flops go on instead of shoes.
The dogs get their flea and tick treatments. I put all my house plants outside.
This is a GREAT writing topic for children! Homeschoolers: to use this as a daily writing topic would be great. Good classroom conversation for younger grades, too. Especially now when the temperature dips below freezing yet again, and I wonder if spring will ever really be here.
