Hi-
I really like Brannon and Rogers team of Cary. They were both very friendly and always listening to every concern and questions. I also loved the staff as I got to know them as I had carried twins until last month. I was going every week and at the last month going twice a week.
Cheers
I have to recommend the Maternal and Fetal Medicine Clinic at Duke. Although it is a group of doctors, they were amazing in supporting me through 3 miscarriages and one successful 'high risk' pregnancy. If you are high risk, it's the place to be. If not, you should look into it anyway. The best doctors are Dr. Grotegut and Dr. Fitzpatrick.
I love Centre OB/Gyn. They delivered both my babies and are great for high risk pregnancy. The doctors and nurses are caring and so knowlagable (ok I can't spell) that I felt good having my baby's lives in their hands. I have been with them for 8 years. They have someone at Rex hospital 24/7 so no matter when the time comes you will see a dr. from your practice that you have seen before. Also b/c they are a group of dr. w/ a dr. at the hospital all the time it doesn't affect your appointment time. they are very prompt and you will rarely have to wait to see them.
good luck.
Are you looking in any specific area? I love my practice: Kamm, McKenzie, Harden, etc.
They have an office in North Raleigh-at 540 and Falls of Neuse and another office by Six Forks and the Beltline.
It is a big practice, but all of the doctors are great.
I also go to Kamm, McKenzie, Harden...I love them. My sister gave birth about 2 weeks ago and Dr Smith from the same practice delivered her third...he has delivered all three of her children. The nurse that was with her said that she has worked in several hospitals and that that is the only practice that she has ever worked with that she liked every single one of the doctors. And that's saying something coming from a nurse, I think. I have seen all of them there, including the NP and the midwife, and I would never go anywhere else. Additionally, they have rights at Wake Med - and they have the neo-natal ICU so if anything happens that your baby needs that kind of care you will be there with him/her instead of you being at a different hospital.
i have to give "props" to Centre OB/GYN as well. I particularly like Drs Collins and Howell, but they're all great. Collins delivered DS 8 months ago. VBAC friendly. Can't say enough good things about these two.

I also recommend Wilkerson OBGYN at Rex Hospital. I liked all the rotating doctors, and actually preferred to see either Dr. Flannigan or Dr. Mong (the only male doctor in the rotation). Dr. Flannigan is new to the practice and made me really comfortable about concerns I had with my second pregnancy. Dr. Mong is very knowledgeable about the whole process, especially cord blood donations. Also, as an FYI, Rex Hospital now offers free cord blood banking for every delivery. Duke Cord Blood Bank has staff permanently on site to take care of everything. It was a very easy process to me.
I would encourage you to interview several of the doctors that were suggested above before making a decision. You want to look for a doctor who shares your philosopy of birth and will be supportive of your decisions. Kamm McKenzie group is great!

I was very pleased with Wilkerson OB/GYN - Dr. Roche was not my favorite but liked everyone else! Good Luck - picking a doctor is tough!
