I can't help listening to the state of things on WUNC.   Does anyone else love it?  I think Frank Stasio does such an excellent job of bringing in guests that impact our community.  Did anyone hear Ted Fiske discussing the Economic Policy Institute's new study on the nation's approach to education?  Check out www.boldapproach.org  and read about the research behind reauthorizing the No Child Left Behind law.   Basically the idea of 'bold approach'  is that in order to educate today's youth, one  needs to look at other factors impacting how children learn other than only the school environment.   The national taskforce got together and looked at the current state of research on how children learn, and made recommendations to impact government policies.    No less than T. Berry Brazelton,  supports the recommendations.  Read about it and see whether you support them as well.   It's nice to know that economists are dedicating their minds, professions, and time to figuring out national education policies.  Kudos, guys!!
