If you were planning on heading over to Java Divine in Holly Springs tomorrow for Stacy Clearman's LittleLand's regular Thursday performance, change your plans.
Stacy tells me that tomorrow's show is canceled because the Holly Springs coffee shop is under new ownership and some construction won't be finished. The normally scheduled show will return at 10 a.m., April 17.
If you haven't seen Stacy before, you should. Check out his Web site and Myspace page. I met him last year when I did a story about local kids music. He's got a great high-energy show that kids love and regularly packs them in when he performs. My daughter particularly loves his song about brushing your teeth. He's also the father of three young kids and music director for Church Alive.
He plays regularly at Java Divine and Jumpin' Beans in Cary and does special events, including his very popular The Big Show, which sold out last fall at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. Another Big Show, which includes a cast of characters, puppets, special effects and more, will be at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., May 24, at the cultural center.
Tickets for The Big Show are $5. Go here or call (919) 567-4000 for tickets.
