Making time for pediatrician/dentist appointments

For the full-time mothers out there: How do you manage your kids' pediatric/dentist appointments? Is your spouse involved? I work part-time, so I manage the appointments fairly well. Do your employers look down on you taking time off to get these appointments done? What about orthodontist appoinments which are monthly? When I worked full-time, I went to the doctor on my lunch break, after/before work or on my day off (but that was before kids!)  Let me know!

My husband is usually involved - he's been to almost all of her appointments with me. And my work is pretty flexible, though I usually try and schedule something for first thing in the morning.
