Here's Alex ....
Mom2Mom: Tell us about yourself
Alex: I am originally from France, arrived in this country 11 years ago, met my husband who is from West Virginia, and we've been living in NC since. We have two boys, Dylan who is 4 and Noah who just turned 2. I've worked as a mechanical engineer for 10 years before I quit and decided to start my own business. I am the owner of La Boutique for Kids, a mobile children's store. I sell quality discounted children's clothing and baby gifts at people's home, through private sales and home parties. Mom2Mom: What's your favorite family place in the Triangle?
Alex: Pullen Park
Mom2Mom: What's your favorite place for yourself in the Triangle?
Alex: Kohl's!
Mom2Mom: What's your favorite ritual with your kids?
Alex: Dancing in the car when we hear the Boom Boom Paw song, from Black Eye Peas
Mom2Mom: What did you eat for dinner last night? Can you share the recipe?
Alex: I made some white fish filets, with rice and a white sauce, baked together. I just paned the fish
first, with some salt, parsley and butter, I cooked some jasmine rice, and made the white sauce separetely (330ml of milk (about 1 1/3 cups) + 30g of flour (about 2 tablespoons), mix and warm, add 30g of butter (about 2 tablespoons), mix and cook slowly to thicken, add salt and nutmeg to it). I placed the rice at the bottom of a dish, put the fish on top, and covered with the white sauce (Bechamel is its name by the way) and of course lot of swiss cheese to finish! Put it in the oven at 380 or so, for about 15 minutes, and broil the cheese at the end for a minute or two. Enjoy!
Mom2Mom: What's your guilty pleasure?
Alex: Nutella in the morning on toasts.
