Meet Erica!
Every Monday, TriangleMom2Mom features a local mom. If you'd like to be featured or know somebody who should, e-mail me.
Today, we hear from Erica Berry.
MOM2MOM: Tell us about yourself - kids, family, work, where you live.
ERICA: I have been married to my husband for almost 15 years and have two beautiful little girls, Lena, 5, and Sophia, 2. Before I had my children, I worked as a corporate attorney in New Jersey. However, when my first child was born almost four months early at 25 weeks, it really changed my priorities. It took me a while to decide what I was going to do, but I finally decided upon moving to North Carolina to start my own music education business called Jammin Baby. I studied music for years and love children, so after attending Music Together classes with my little girl in New Jersey, I really believed it was something that I could do really well and enjoy doing. It is nice to see a dream come to reality after hard work and determination. Jammin Baby has now been open for a year and it has grown tremendously. We hope to provide Music Together programs to children all over the Triangle.
MOM2MOM: What's your favorite family place in the Triangle and why?
ERICA: I would say now that I love Booda Beans in Apex, which is next to Hopper's House. It is a good mix of kid friendly with a little adult friendly mixed in as well. I was there with my girlfriend one evening and the kids were playing in the Booda Box and we almost forgot our kids were there (as they were playing hard and we were deep in adult conversation). Love it!
MOM2MOM: What's the favorite place for yourself in the Triangle?
ERICA: I love the Bonefish Grill in Cary and the surrounding area right across from SAS. I also love the Brightleaf Square area in Durham in the summer time.
MOM2MOM: What's your favorite ritual with your kids?
ERICA: Booktime every evening after bathtime. They love it and so do I.
MOM2MOM: What did you eat last night? Can you share the recipe?
ERICA: I ate Cajun Shrimp Bowtie Pasta. I don't know the recipe because I get my entrees from the Dinner A'Fare in Apex at Beaver Creek Commons. I love the meals and it saves me a lot of time.
MOM2MOM: Care to share your guilty pleasure?
ERICA: Microwaved cookie dough — just for 15 seconds .... Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone — especially not Weight Watchers because I have no idea how many points it is. I try not to indulge too often.

Welcome Erica! What fun and how long have you been in NC? Thanks for the word up on Booda Beans. I don't want to "deprive" the Tigers. And that "deep adult conversation" sounds wonderful.
Warmly,
Carolina Mama
Thanks, I have been in NC for two years now and we love it... Enjoy Booda Beans.
Erica.
Thanks for the tip about Booda Beans. I can't wait to check it out.
