We can't live without white boil in the bag rice, saltines, green beans, and spaghetti noodles.
I can't live without Luzianne tea bags and Sweet 'n Low!
I can't live without pasta for the kids and Crystal light for me!
Love all the previous ones....plus white beans and always a box of Bisquik - have you ever tried the easy dinner recipes on the box? The cheeseburger pie and chicken pot pie are Kid-licious & wholesome, and hearty enough for Mom and Dad too. Just found out recently that Jiffy makes the same mix, just as good.
Second the Bisquik! Also brown rice, Old Bay - I use it to season EVERYTHING, oatmeal, refried beans and tortillas! And I know it says pantry items, but I'd feel unfaithful if I didn't mention cheese!
I can't live without Lipton Onion Soup Mix in the pantry. It adds great flavor.
I can not live without green, red, yellow peppers- they make any meal taste better; brown rice, and zucchini-you will be suprised the things you can put together with just the few ingredients- like chicken- and fish and the whole family loves it!
my children love pasta- but I had to cut back on eating it so much- I love the whole wheat noodles and the egg white noodles..
My mom always told me if I kept the following staples in my cupboard, my family would never go hungrey. Sugar, Tea, Coffee, flour, milk, rice, eggs, butter, bread, cans of vegi all, spices, and can tomatoes. I can make bread, biscuits, french toast, and homemade soup, her soup recipe cost under $20 and can feed a large family several days depending on how hungrey you get. Yet the one main thing I have to have is Lipton tea and sugar for southern sweet tea. It is my staple. I usually drink one to two glasses a day!
I always keep plenty of pasta on hand and it's probably the one thing I can't do without. It's something all the kids will eat & I can always find something in the fridge, freezer, or pantry to toss with it to make a quick meal after work. Other things I always have in the pantry include ramen noodle soup, a variety of potatoes, canned veggies, various mexican meal kits (tacos, enchiladas, etc), salsa & crackers.
And plenty of ketchup - it's amazing what you can get a kid to eat if you give them ketchup to dunk it in.
I always have peanut butter on hand. It's the thing that got my kids to eat apples. I also keep brown rice handy because my son could eat rice and chicken every day. And cereal is essential. For me, there is Lipton tea and Sweet 'n Low. I like to cook fruits and strain the juice into the tea pitcher to make flavored teas. It's so good! And coffee. We can't forget coffee. I'm a much happier person after my morning coffee!
I also would have to say that Macaroni and cheese by kraft, you can add tuna, chicken, beef and make quick simple casseroles kids love.
Well my family loves tortilla chips and just about any variety of salsa. I especially love all the new varieties, found at most supermarkets, and the great things about theses new salsa's are that you can make a variety of great chicken and rice dishes, like the raspberry chipolete, Lemon lime, these two are my favorite, just take some boneless chicken breast tenders, put in a glass baking dish, rub a little olive oil over chicken and dish salsa on top, cover with tinfoil, bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour depending on thickness, cook bag rice on stovetop, and serve when ready, so delicious!
Hi ctomblin ,
What are some of your favorite pasta combinations, I need some new idea!
I always try to have beans, canned tomatoes, noodles of any kind, rice and peanut butter. Plus, I'm never without flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, vanilla, salt and chocolate chips, all the pantry items needed to make chocolate chip cookies.
We always have whole grain tortillas to make fish tacos, peanut butter/raisin/craisin rollups for snacks, lettuce wraps, bean and rice burritos- pretty much anything that fits into them!
I always keep macaroni, spagehetti, and fettuccini noodles because there are always a variety of meals that can whipped up with them. Also, peanut butter for PB&J, pizza sauce and dough mix for a good ol' homemade pizza, and one of my favorites jiffy cornbread mix to go with some hearty chili.
My boys love fresh fruit, peanut butter, and cereal. We always have plenty of frozen veggies and I agree with the bisquick posts...always something for breakfast Saturday morning!
We must keep Cheerios and black beans in the pantry!
Mom to Jude
Pasta, peanut butter, canned tomatoes, rice and canned green beans. I never let those items run out!
I like to have pasta, pasta sauce, peanut buttter & canned veges available.

We can't live without olive oil, pasta, and peanut butter!
We always keep several cans of Cream of Mushroom soup (because it seems like all casseroles call for a can!), peanut butter, brownie mix, pasta, rice, canned fruit and green beans, flour, sugar, and of course as already mentioned in previous posts Bisquick!
Our family cannot live without cereal, dried fruit, and apple sauce.

We can't live without cereal, rice, pasta and pasta sauce.
we always have flour, pasta, cheese, beans, and canned tomatoes.
Jasmine Rice, Spaghetti, tuna, cheerios, apple sauce, green beans, and coffee for me!
Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup is the perfect staple for the mom with little time. You can add this to ground beef with some sour cream and you have a stroganoff. If you add it to chicken with some milk, you have creamy chicken breast with mushroom sauce. Saute some pork chops, add cream of mushroom soup with some flour and you have creamy mushroom pork chops. As you can tell, I use cans and cans of the soup -- and then you have soup labels to donate to school!
I absolutely cannot be without cranberry juice :)
we always have peanut butter, saltines and lots of cereal
Dark chocolate and pomegranate juice, (bandaides and batteries too,) and those just about cover it! We're ready for the next hurricane's power failure or to be snowed in.
We always try to keep handy cereal, peanut butter, oatmeal, raisins, rice, pasta, canned tomatoes, and black beans. We also always keep all baking ingredients stocked for home-made birthday cakes and last minute treats. We love our pantry staples, don't we???
can't live without diced peaches, fruit snacks (for the little one) or pasta. cereal is also a must have. cereal is a great cheap breakfast (with milk) and snack (with or without!)
I can't live without cans of sweet peas, pasta, tomato sauce, and fruit snacks for my daughter.
frozen vegetables, cereal and RICE. Having rice in the house, you can create a dinner in 60 seconds(I exaggerated on the time, but you know what I mean)
I could never understand why my mother kept so many items in the pantry, but now that I am older and have my own crew to feed...I have a whole new appreciation! I always have cans of diced tomatoes, Canellini beans, and pasta. With those items (and others I almost always have on hand) I can whip up a killer chili, chicken chili, soup, casserole, pasta salad, or pasta dish is no time flat! I also ALWAYS have flour, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and chocolate chips in the house to throw together a last minute dessert when visitors call.
I can't live without pasta and pasta sauce. Also, barbecue sauce since it makes it easy to make bland chicken taste better quickly!
I absolutely must have the following items in my pantry at all times: peanut butter, pastina, marinara sauce, and cereal! Most especially cereal because even if I do not have milk I will still eat it, and so will my daughter! Hubby not so much, but he'll figure something out. Cereal is also good for any meal of the day, and all snacks, so it works for us. I also almost always have cans of cream of chicken soup and chicken broth, along with black beans, rice and pasta. They work towards some sort of recipe so I can ensure that dinner is on the table. Yum!
My pantry staple is campbells soups, specifically mushroom soup and chicken soup. These two soups are used in 50% of my recipes! They have such great flavor and can be used for a base in many casseroles or gravies! My other staple is shredded cheese, but that is technically in my refrigerator, not pantry!
I would have to say canned beans, peanut butter, canned vegetables, and bottled water. If you add a first aid kit, toilet paper, batteries and a flashlight, you will be ready for any emergency crisis.
Must have peanut butter, pasta, spaghetti sauce, cereal, baking soda, and vinegar.
We always have a number of different pastas, canned tomatoes, black beans, and chicken noodle soup.

pasta is a pantry item i like to keep on hand. there are so many things you can do with it. with pasta in the cabinet, we'll always come up with something to eat
I always keep: my flour, sugar, butter and spices, oatmeal, fresh vegetables(oops you said panty didn't you.) Well theres always rice, can tomatoes, cream of chicken and mushroom soups. Canola oil and cooking spray. Paula Deen's House Seasoning and my rib rub.
We always have milk, pasta, eggs, bread, bacon because breakfast is good for any meal and for my littlest Hot Pockets :)
Seems like some favorites are definitely pasta, rice, peanut butter, and particularly black beans. I also like white beans, also called northern beans, with pasta being so slow to digest, if you add a can of white beans to the pasta then add your sauce it gives you a good source of fiber, which pasta dishes usually lack. My daughter never knew they were in the pasta dish. The favorite of the baby’s is bananas she loves them
My most cherished spice is Garlic; it goes in everything just about. Two other spices are -Rotisserie chicken spice and lemon pepper spice, if you take 1/2 stick of butter, add the 3 spices above to desired taste, then spoon over boneless chicken thighs,(take a knife and poke holes in chicken beforehand) cook for 45 minutes on 350 degrees, then drizzle with soy sauce, cook another 15 mintues, the chicken melts in your mouth.
Hint - I use a big muffin pan when I cook this chicken, spray with Pam before hand. Placing 1 chicken thigh in each muffin space.
I have to agree with mkbostic and MrsLLG, that a can or cans of cream of mushroom can go along way in a casserole dish whether it is beef, or chicken. We also keep cream of celery, these two together in a roast with vegetables is absolutely yummy.
My sister’s favorite recipe is egg noodles, round steak, cheese and cream of mushroom. If you have a hard time tenderizing round steak, here is one of my secrets, cut round steak in strips, put in a non stick pan and pour A1 sauce over meat, simmer on medium, when done it is tender, pour into a strainer, drain excess A1 off then add to casserole with cooked egg noodles, 1 large can cream of mushroom, and cheese layered on top. It is yummy, bake at 350. 1 Hour.
Peanut butter, saltines, tomato soup and Cheerios! Gotta have them!
Must haves - - black beans, diced tomatoes (no salt added), Puffins (the cinnamon kind), peanut butter, Luna Bars (also the peanut butter kind), and, of course, a big ol' gallon of organic skim milk - - we obviously need something to wash down all of that PB!
We cant live without the following ketchup is a must....this is used at almost every meal time, raisans and cheerios a favorite item for breakfast, rice and oyster crackers.
tea bags
rice
cereal
and skippy natural creamy peanut butter!
My pantry necessities are various flavors marinades, soups, tuna, various flavored rice and noodle mixes, and spray olive oil. You can cook a wide variety of dishes and side dishes to keep hungry eaters satisfied.
I always have cereals, peanut butter, pasta and mac and cheese. Also, beans, diced tomatoes and chili starter during the cool months for making chili on the weekends.
I'm always buying Goldfish crackers.
always have brown rice & pasta, canned tomatoes, lotsa varieties of beans, cereal, crackers and peanut butter
The pantry staples we cant live without are peanut butter, crackers, ketchup, tuna, Prego, and noodles. I have a child allergic to red dyes and MSG so what we put in our pantry has to be son friendly
Must have dry dog food, The dog needs it and if the whole family ran out of food due to a national diaster, we would survive and not starve!
Lesser down the list would be cereal, fruit juice, pasta and in that order.
My family cannot live without canned mushrooms, bisquick and pasta.
