Move to Big Bed
My daughter moved to a big girl bed over the weekend to big success. Yeah!! I was so nervous.
Thought I'd share this tip (though perhaps I'm the last one to know about it). Instead of getting bed rails to keep her from falling out of bed, we rolled up towels and stuck them underneath the fitted sheet. She's just on a mattress on the floor right now so we put them at her head and around one side.
It's kept her (and the pillow) in so far and we didn't have to shell out $$ for a rail which is a plus.

I'm hoping to move my daughter to her big girl bed in the next few months. When I say big girl bed, I mean big bed. She moves from her crib to a queen. Her room also doubles as the guest room so I can't (or am not willing to) give up the bed.
I hope our move goes as smoothly as yours seemed to go.
