New to North Carolina. Need Resources. Please Help!
My family just moved to Chancelor's Ridge (Durham, NC) from Arizona. I'm looking for some resources. I am a nurse at Duke Medical Center. My daughter will be in second grade at Creekside Elementary. 1-2 days a week, I have to leave for work at 6:00am and wouldn't be home until 6:00pm. I'm looking for someone who lives in the neighborhood that either has school age children or provides childcare. I need to find someone to watch my daughter for a few hours those mornings and again for a few hours on those evenings. I'm not sure how to obtain these resources. If anyone could provide me with some contact information or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I wonder if your neighborhood as a listserv or something like that. I know a lot around have babysitting co-ops and other things that link up parents who need child care help. I might check with your HOA. Sometimes these things are listed in the newsletter or on your neighborhood's Web site.
