Pediatric Dentist
I need to find a dentist for my 3 year old who has already stated he does not want to go despite my best efforts to put a positive spin on it. Any recommendations for a pediatric dentist in the N. Raleigh, Wake Forest area? I would prefer a small practice.

Very nice staff and Dr. Dave is amazing. Most pediatric dentists do not want you to go back with your child, but Dr. Dave encourages it and even has a special bench for parents near the dentist chair. I highly recommend them.
We go to Wake Pediatric Dentistry - actually just took my daughter there this week. Dr. Parrish is the one we see. He's really nice. One caution: they prefer that parents do not go back with their kids. I was worried about this at first, but I think it's better in the end. She's fine back there - they've got a ton of toys that the kids play with - and she's a little bit braver because she doesn't have mom to lean on.

Not in North Raleigh, but my own dentist also does kids teeth - Jonathan Beavers at Beavers Family Dentistry in Apex. I really like him - so it's worth the drive for me from Raleigh.
Over the past year my four year old has been going to Dr. John Christensen in Durham (exit 276) off of Woodcroft Parkway. He's great, the atmosphere is great and we recently had to get two small fillings...absolutely NO tears whatsoever! It's worth the commute 2x a year (the least)
We use Dr. Horowitz and associates in Garner (cannot remember name of practice, sorry). They are great, but if you have a clingy, whiney child, it is not your best choice. They let you go the first visit, then for following visits, they want you to let them go back themselves. This is not a problem for our 3 yr old. He is not clingy or whiney, so it works fine with him. He likes them and is fine there.
We have gone to Dr. Rob Moran & Dr. Richard Brooks in Cary since my girls were 3...they are now 14. We have mostly seen Dr. Rob but both dentists are awesome. The girls have always had very positive experiences there even when they had procedures like pulling teeth, xrays, etc..
