Our local Parks and Rec sponsers a beach run series every summer. Every two weeks all summer there is a 1mile, 5k, and 10k run. My husband and I each pair up with a kid, since they are different ages(5 and 7) and skill levels, and run the mile. They love getting to wear a number and are surprisingly competitive. It's great excercise and I am hoping to develop a life long love of running!
