Recall: Baby gates, jumpers and booster seats
Three recalls from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission this week:
Dorel Juvenile Group has expanded its recall of Safety 1st Stair Gates because the hinges that are supposed to hold the gate in place can break. About 31,500 gates were recalled this week. Another 100,000 were recalled in February 2009. The gates were made before Dec. 20, 2008 and are white metal with a gray handle and motion sensor nightlight. They were sold for about $60 at Babies R Us, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart.com from January 2005 to July. Click here for details about what to do if you have one.
Target is recalling about 43,000 of its Circo booster seats because the buckle can open unexpectedly, allowing the child to fall from the chair. The seats were sold at Target from December 2008 to June 2009 for about $13. Target is offering full refunds for the seats. Click here for more details.
Graco has recalled about 2,400 of its Jump 'n Jive Doorway Jumpers because they cold pose a choking hazard. The jumpers include detachable toys that are attached to the jumper straps with strips of fabric. That fabric is not permanently attached to the toys and kids can choke on them. If you have one, click here to find out what you should do.

I TOOK MY BOOSTER SEAT TO TARGET TODAY.
AND OF COURSE, I DIDN'T SAVE THE RECEIPT.
BUT NO PROBLEM...THEY CALLED FOR A RECALL # AND I GOT THE FULL CREDIT, BACK ON A TARGET GIFT CARD.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS INFO.
No problem! I've heard from two people who had one of these items. Was always curious what happened when you went to return stuff. Good news they didn't hassle you!
