Recomendations for a GREAT Obgyn

I just moved to the area, and I need to find a wonderful ob to deliver my baby! I am looking for someone who is gentle, and warm! Does anybody have any suggestions?

I'm not sure where you wish to deliver, but after touring several hospitals, we chose to deliver at Duke Medical Center. There are many options for OB/GYNs at Duke. However, there is a group of only women OBs/GYNs who were last located off of Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.

It was a far drive for appointments, especially during the final trimesters, but these group of women are fantastic. They also have a few fabulous Nurse Practioners and Physician Assistants, especially Connie Ostrowski......she is great!

Anyway, the group is called, Duke Women's Health Associates. The appointment phone # is 919-684-2471.

You will have to find out where their office(s) are now located, as I have not been back for any check-ups for the past 4 years......I know, I know, it's not good.....I just dread going to those appointments!

Congratulations!

I am a L&D nurse . There are so many good doctors out there. Dr. Angel Nieves is so kind & has the best bedside manner, He is with a great group of doctors -Duke Women's Health Associates. They just opened up a second office at Brier Creek. Sorry I do not have the # . But you could call information. Hope this helps.

If you live in the Raleig area, my personal favorite is Kamm, McKenzie, Smith, Harden, Bass, Saaks. They are located off of Six Forks Rd. and I-440. They also have an office in North Raleigh. They deliver at Wake Med which handles the highest level of trauma care for newborns in the area. They delivered both of my kids and my sister's. They are great!

Dr. Seidel in Cary is the best. It is a two doctor practice where you get personal attention. You walk in the door and everyone knows your name, your husband's name, and what all your kids are doing!

Find someone close to where you are. If you are in Chapel Hill, I LOVE my OB at the Duke Womens health clinic mentioned above in the first answer (but I don't like all the OB docs there. I think that is probably true of most group practices.) I won't go to anyone else but my OB/gyn doc! She's great. Has two toddlers of her own, which she delivered there too. If in Durham, the Durham Woman's clinic used to be great. They also have midwives, but I dont know any of the current staff except Dr. Granger who was also there twenty years ago when I delivered. He used to be great. I like practices that also have midwives as part of the practice as well. In general midwives are warm and wonderful, and as part of an ob doctor team, the perfect combination.

I highly recommend Duke Women's Health Associates. I work with these OBs at Duke and am delivering my second high risk pregnancy with them. Everyone in the practice is fabulous. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Can't say enough great things about Connie, the NP at the Chapel Hill office. She goes beyond the call of duty to make us stressed moms feel better.

I also am a patient of Dr. Nieves, Dr. Quinn- 2 MDs that just opened up a new office in brier creek--they are SOO nice! They are so personal, the office is never really crowded, the secretary, Matthew is so helpful and smiley when you walk in....always ample and free parking...and they are just nice, nice, nice. I highly recommend them. Best wishes!

Alcohol treatment cannot be equal to drug treatment. Moreover many “exclusive” treatment services in Los Angeles make the mistake of treating alcoholics and drug addicts the same method, while if the challenge faced by one group were similar to those faced by the other. But this cleanly isn’t the case. The fact is that alcohol addiction presents it’s wounded with a unique set of challenges on the road to recovery. An exclusive Eating Disorder center that fails to recognize that much, can’t ever possibly expect to help its clients get where they need to go.
The Cliffside Malibu understands the nuances of alcohol rehabilitation. Cliffside’s alcohol treatment experts are important numbers in the field, and take a fantastic wealth of knowledge to their work. Of all the fashionable alcohol rehabs existing, this is why Cliffside is the special alcohol treatment purpose for expensive clients from as far away as Thailand and the Philippines. It’s also why there should be no doubt as to where your interests will be best served.
Alcohol recovery is an extraordinarily easily broken process. To complete it successfully, you’re going to need exactly the right kind of care from exactly the right kind of caregivers. Cliffside Malibu can give it to you with their private alcohol rehab programs. All that remains, now, is for you to make the right choice. The day you arrive at Cliffside’s secluded private estate will be the day you start remembering why you ever believed tomorrow to be a thing worth looking forward to. For the sake of the people who care about you, here’s hoping you can muster the courage to do what you must.
