Salute to Our Troops

If you love a parade, "Salute to Our Troops" will take over downtown Raleigh Saturday morning. The salute starts at 10 a.m. with a flyover of four F-15E Strike Eagle jets followed by a full military parade complete with marching troops, bands, floats and a large collection of military equipment.

The parade starts on the south end of Fayetteville Street and ends at the state government complex on Salisbury Street near Peace Street. After the parade, there will be some displays and activities.

Active duty, Reserve military and their families should look out for some special offers, including free access to Marbles Kids Museum downtown.
