Similac Organic
Anybody out there using Similac Organic? There's an interesting story in the New York Times about the formula, which apparently has sucrose added to it. Sucrose can harm tooth enamel faster than other sugars. It will be banned in Europe in formulas by the end of next year, the story says.
I've always been a little leery of products that stamp "organic" on the label because sometimes they're not as good as they seem.

Wow. I don't use it -- thought about it, but frankly formula costs enough already without adding the fancy organic label. This is good to know. Thanks for passing along.
What caught my eye about that story was that a sensory-tasting panel found that the forumla had “the sweetness of grape juice or Country Time lemonade."
Every mom wants the very best for their baby. I heard about the Similac Organic and tried it. My daughter didn't seem to mind the change until 2 days later when she was all stopped up with constipation cramps. She was pooping little rabbit pellets! I only tried it with her for 3 days and then switched her back to the Similac Advanced and everything was smooth sailing! My doctor said she would have to be on it for a week to know for sure if it was going to cause any changes. It is also grainy and doesn't dissolve as nicely as the Advanced.
