Storytime in the Garden

It's supposed to be so nice this week — maybe a good time to check out Nature Tales: Story Time at the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill.

The garden's spring and summer storytimes run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursdays, rain or shine, and include an activity in the garden. It costs $5 per family and pre-registration is required.

It's also time to register for the garden's popular annual event "Discovering Magic in the Garden." Families are invited to dress in their most magical costumes. This year it's from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 18. It's $10 per vehicle and pre-registration also is required.

And there are a handful of scholarship slots available for the garden's popular summer camp.

Call 962-0522 or go to the Web site for details about all three programs.
