Finally getting the time to check in!

It's still a bit surreal that there's a baby in the house (except when it's 3 a.m. and she's crying. Then it is very real). But we're all doing great and big sister is very excited to have the little sister she's been hoping for during the last nine months. Baby sis isn't a bad sleeper and so far has been pretty easy (though I've probably just jinxed myself).

I'm definitely wiser the second time around, sleeping more and moving more quickly with the whole nursing thing. It's not as much of a haze this time. It's nice to not feel like a rookie.

And I will speak out in favor of not finding out the sex ... especially the second time around. We found out with the first. And sure it was a hassle as we were planning and getting everything ready (should I wash the girl clothes or pack them away, etc.). But let's face it ... the second pregancy isn't as new and exciting as the first. And while there are always  differences between kids, it was exciting to know there was at least one surprise waiting for us at the end of this whole journey.
