Tim Russert, icon of the power and importance of fatherhood, dies before Father's Day

In celebration of father's day, it's refreshing to see someone at the top of their field who is known by all his close friends as a caring and loving father and family man. Despite working impossibly long hours, traveling, having a demanding career, he is able to remember the importance of being a father. Through his books Big Russ and Me, and The Wisdom of our Fathers, he taught the importance of non-material values. The books are not what he made him professionally successful; nevertheless, he was a father first, a media journalist second. He will be missed. But his values will live on in his books.
