Triangle Holiday Guide

Here it is: The Triangle Holiday Guide.

Just like our Halloween Guide, but about a million more family-friendly events from parades (Raleigh was Nov. 22) to craft shows to meet and greets with Santa to New Year's Eve celebrations.

If you're headed to the mall and looking for the Big Guy, check out my earlier Santa at the Mall post with hours, Santa's break times and rules on when and where you have to pay for a picture. And there's always Santa on the Train.

If you're looking for gift ideas, see my "Best Toy Ever: The Stick" post that includes a links to lists of top toys and old favorites.

And find out when all your favorite Christmas shows will be on TV.

But the heart of the guide is our "Christmas and Winter Holiday" events calendar. It's searchable by date and location. Start searching by clicking here.

Please note that some events require tickets or preregistration. Lots of these events are long-time holiday traditions for families across the Triangle, so double check that there's space for you before you go.

And one big event, a favorite at my house, is missing - Tinsel Town at Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheatre. It won't be held this year.

This list will grow even more in the weeks to come. If you have an event that's not on the list, you can submit it yourself. Just make sure you're registered on the site and logged in. Then go to this page, click on the green "post an event" button and fill out the form. Or you can e-mail it to me.

I hope you find this useful as you make all your holiday plans.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and New Year's wishes to you!
