My answer would be (A) but also would have to add (B) because I cannot afford it. I know for my 7 year old daughter and me it would be the trip of a lifetime hopefully with repeat trips in her future.

It would be an A. B. Combo! We've taken our 3 girls there once and had a BLAST, we loved the shows, the rides and just walking around was great. Unfortunately it's a bit pricey so it's not a trip I could afford to take often.

Answer is A.  We are taking a first trip in March with our 2 boys. Should be an adventure for sure - but at least we are all potty trained and no strollers are needed (except maybe for me :)

My response is D.   Grandma and GrandBob took 11 of our grandchildren AND their parents for a Disney vacation for a week! What a fabulous week for ALL! There was something to do for us kids of all ages and we did it TOGETHER! We would LOVE to do it again and take the new grandchildren family members!

I would have to say that I am "A-ish." I love the idea of going to Disney, but the crowds and such stress me out!

My answer would be B. I would love to go but the prices are so high that it would have to be a once in a five or so years time that we could do it. (Maybe even longer!) Disney definitely does everything up nice, though.

My girl absolutely loves the Disney Princesses. Her Fav is probably Sleeping Beauty (as evidenced by her dressing up as SB for halloween). But, she's also a big fan of Ariel's as well. She's such a sucker for all things frilly, pink and feminine.

I have to say, I have issues with Ariel leaving home at 16 to marry some dude she hardly knows and will never be able to be with her family again (as they live under the sea)...but I digress.

I believe Disney holds a classic magic with kids and I will absolutely take her there one day cost and all. Every kid needs the memory of Disney and all that is The Magic Kingdom, parades, rides, Mickey and the lot.

My answer would be both A and B. My entire family has been, my husband went in his teens, my mom and step dad took my kids as a chirstmas present last year, my dad took my brother and step siblings when I was pregnant with my first child so he left me at home. I've always wanted to go to Disney world, but no one has ever thought of taking me. And at this time, I can't afford to go, it would take me 2 months pay.

A-I AM SOOOO THERE! I have been going to Walt Disney World almost annually since I was about three years old. I am 33 now and have the wonderful opportunity to live in Orlando for 3 1/2 years. We moved back about two years ago after my daughter was born to be close to family. My dad also passed away and being at Disney reminds me of all the WONDERFUL memories that I had there with my family. I can't wait to hopefully give my daughter the same magical memories!!!

jenniferbwilliams's picture

A) for my kids and B) for me. I would love to take my 3 & 5 year olds (the 5 year old insists he is the ONLY kid in the world that hasn't gone). but with the prices it would be nice if they remembered it. Although, will my Cinderella-crazy daughter still want to have breakfast with her princess in 5-10 years? Probably not. Tough call.

jfore1's picture
by jfore1 1 yr. ago.

My answer would definitely have to be (B)!!! When my older kids were little (they are high schoolers now), we went several times and enjoyed every minute! One of my favorite family Christmas cards was one that I sent out in 1999 with a great family photo of all of us at Disney. I still have a copy of that one in my office! Now, I look forward to taking our youngest child who is now 3 and enjoying the experience all over again with him!

I would have to go with B. We went for the first time just a few weeks ago but know we won't be going back for at least a few years. We had a great week and the kids are still talking about it every day!

I'm a great aunt who loves spoiling my great niece Princess Priscilla, age 5. Nothing would thrill me more than taking her to see the Disney Princesses in person, but have you seen the prices. I'm always buying her things with the Princesses on them, which she ohh's and ahh's over.

It's definitely B. I'd love to go and take my little Princess, BUT have you seen the prices.

The delight in the eyes of my grandchildren when their little faces light up with the fascination of the magic that abounds at Disney World...or with Disney DVD's...makes me know in my heart that there is still Love and GOOD in this world! It may be a job for Grandma & Grandpa, but please remember that our income is VERY limited, and I'd give my last dollar to take my grandchildren to Disney On Ice!! :)

E. I would choose "other" because I would LOVE to go and this time of the year has extra special significance to my family. I have 2 sons-one born on Christmas Eve and the other on Christmas Day. While it is a magical time of the year, a trip to Disney would be extra special birthday and Christmas for both. (Wow, I wouldn't have to do any shopping)

heather1919's picture
by heather1919 1 yr. ago.

A. I am so there. We have taken our 5 yr old three times. We love it.
My husband and I have gone twice once for our honeymoon and once after 2 year of marriage. We go for our daughter we tell people but we as adults love it just as much.

It doesn't have to be exspensive. My daughter takes her toys from home and leaves them in the hotel. We don't visit gift shops except for downtown disney and then look for half price sales. All the shops have them you just have to look for them. Then we stay busy in the parks and taking advantage of the free and included activites.

Last year we went for 9 days. WOW! Including everything travel, hotel, food, tips, tickets and extras we spent exactly $2,000 and have the receipts to prove it. We save in our Disney fund all year and look for the deals like the one right now of buy 4 nights get 3 free and my favorite free dining. Of course the most important is timing there is a best time to go. I have been going since I was a kid and my family living on an extremly tight buget, I have learned the ways to get the best deals and the most out of everyhting. I have learned from the best....

My answer would have to be B. I would love to go to Disney World with my 9-year-old daughter! I have never been anywhere out of North Carolina except Carowinds when I was 12 years old. I am legally blind, so I do not drive. I usually travel by cab or bus to go anywhere, but I know my daughter would love to go somewhere away from Raleigh!

dmills's picture
by dmills 1 yr. ago.

My answer would be D because I AM the grandma and I would love to take my grandkids. My granddaughter absolutely LOVES the Disney princesses. She dresses up like them and she watches the movies all the time. She is so cute when she puts on her Ariel costume and sings the song "Part of Your World". So if I ever have the extra money I am going to steal her and her brother away from my daughter and have the time of our lives at Disney World!!!

triangletwins's picture

My answer is A.

I would do most anything to avoid a crowd and don't like the idea of spending such a large sum of money, but I would consider doing those things for my children.

We haven't been but from everything I hear, it's a trip of a lifetime, and one that the little kiddies won't forget. Lots of memories.

We'll go. Once.

A. We are finally going for the first time in December. We are only taking our oldest. She is 4-1/2, so we figured she would at least remember it. nepatsfan01's picture

Without a doubt A... My memories of Disney World when I was a kid are so amazing. I can't imagine my life without our yearly trip to Disney and I fully plan on making that pilgrimage with my son as well. We wanted to wait till my son was old enough and next year we have our dream trip planned for 10 days!!! It took a lot of savings and giving up other things (like my dream shoes!) but it is going to be SO worth it :-)

Definitely A - I am so there! You can make it affordable if you work at it! Been there, done that, going again! (Hopefully)

Cshomaker's picture

It would have to be B. I am a grandmother and I took my kids when they were small but it was only about $12 to get in. Now I would love to take my granddaughter. She's 3 and she is staying with us (along with her mom) while her dad is on deployment with the Navy. My dream would be taking her to Disney World and my husband to Epcot. But that idea seems pretty far away right now!

A. Always want to go to Disney. Doesn't matter how many times we go, we have new memories each time. It's a great place for the family to vacation. We love Disney!!! Every park has something we love a lot. Can't wait to get back there in April!

Janzy's picture
by Janzy 1 yr. ago.

Disney has been and always will be the vacation that dreams are made of. Each child has a vision and the trip always satisfies each one. I have a few collages of the trips taken and hope one day to have one of grandchildren experiencing their fantasy dream... It is expensive so plan budgetwise.

Tricia316's picture
by Tricia316 1 yr. ago.

I would have to say C. Honestly, Disney is not the first place I would want to be for a family vacation. I don't like to be outnumbered by children! But our daughter would love it. She is totally into the whole "Disney Princesses" thing. And I would do anything for my daughter, even a trip to Disney.

shaw89's picture

B. I'd love to go. But have you seen the prices??

We were hoping to go next summer, but we're probably going to put it off for a while given the economy. When we go, I'm sure it will be a great trip for our family.

wallest02's picture
by wallest02 1 yr. ago.

my answer is B, like most of the responses.
Family vacations are fun and Disney is just the dream vacation of vacations - rides with short lines, a clean theme park, happy and exciting with stuff for everyone.
But it is also the most expensive of the trips we would think about taking (without going international). That always throws it out of the discussion before we even really consider it...

My answer is E. other...My last trip to Disney was in May of 1993. This was my daughter's Make A Wish trip. She was four years old and very sick. Madison is now 19 yrs old and doing well. Cancer free for almost 16 yrs and we give all the Glory to God!!
We have always wanted to go back as a family to enjoy everything without dealing with so much stress. Money and time are away from home are two factors keeping us from going now.

ABD I so want to share Disney with both my kids and parents. I am hoping by next year I can afford to make my fantasy a reality. Disney is one of my favorite places on earth, and the feeling of calm that comes over me when I am there is something I haven't felt in a long time.

E. I would have to say other, because Disney would mean so much to my 8 year old son. My husband and I would love to go because it's true you never outgrow Disney, but our son, Jonathan, has been very sick this year and had to have major sugery to have his Thymus gland removed (a lot like open heart sugery). He is recovering well, but it's a dream of his to go to Disney World. Maybe one day it will become a "real" trip.

Bethwhaley's picture
by Bethwhaley 1 yr. ago.

My answer is B. We would love to go to Disney and have wanted to go for many, many years but never can seem to be able to afford it. My kids are getting older (eleven and fifteen) and I fear that we will never be able to afford a trip to the happiest place on Earth. Oh well, there is always Disney on Ice (we try to go every year!)

I worked right down the street at sea world and never got to go. Never actually had an interest until I had a child. I am told she would really love it. In all actuality I really have no idea what Disney is all about either. I would even go as far to say I don't know the difference between Disney World and Land. I would like her to experience it though, and not miss out because of my stupidity. ha ha However, I have to agree with B. we would never ever be able to afford it. Not to mention how far away both are. Then taking the time off from a commissioned job in a one worker household. It all just doesn't seem feasible. Maybe one day when she is older and we get on our feet.

A and B. Although we would love to go there every year, it will probably be only every 2-3 years. We took our girls (then 4 and 2) earlier in the year. We all had a blast. I loved it b/c it brought back so many memories when I was a kid and went there. I'm not sure if my 2 year old remembers but she loves Disney princess. My now 5 year old remembers it though. She keeps talking about it and asks when can we go again.

We are an A/B combo. We have been twice and had a blast, but due to the cost, will not be able to go back or a while. Fornunately, there are enough things for the kids to do when they are older, so this will be a fun bonding experience to look forward to during the teenage years.

A and B. It is a great place for the kids and adults to visit. However, the prices for admission, parking, hotel, food are high...

My answer is letter A (I am so there). I took my son on his 4th birthday and we had a blast. It was a joy seeing him and his grandma enjoying our trip to Disneyworld. It was a dream come true for both of them. I would like to take my son and his grandma back on his 6th birthday and wish that our plans will push through.

I would say A & B whereas we took our 3 girls to Disney World this past spring and it was REALLY expensive!!! We had to go to a timeshare presentation just to afford it....so that pretty much says it all!! Then to top it off..we drove...the whole 11 hours there!!! The girls had a great time and yes it was a DREAM come true trip for them!! Would definitely do it again!!

My answer would be D. I was never able to afford to take my kids so I would dearly love to take my grandkids. I have a grandson and granddaughter who would early love to make that trip.

A - We are sooo there, at least every other year or so...the kids are 7, 7, and 11 so a few more years of princess magic remain, and then onto to bigger, scarier and taller height-requirement rides.....

A and B We've been twice, but have added another daughter to the mix since the last visit. We will figure out how to go in the next few years. It is a must! When you are there you can't help but feel the MAGIC!

A & B We visited for two days three years ago and would love to go back, especially now that the kids are older. My daughter has grown out of the princesses but is so into High School Musical and Camp Rock; my son is a "Cars" fanatic so each of them will have a blast. We plan to take a family vacation next December for my daughter's 10th birthday, riding the train instead of flying to save money, to take advantage of the park's birthday celebration. Since we have family in Orlando &Tampa, we'll also combining the trip with a Christmas gathering!

B and D. I'd love to go but have you seen the prices. When I was younger my brother and I wanted to go but my parents could not afford it. Now that I have children I think it's a job for grandma and grandpa in that I would love to take them with my children to enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney. It would be an awesome family experience well overdue.

B. I'd love to go but have you seen the prices? I would LOVE to be able to take my 7 yr old son. But being a single mom, we just can't afford it!

My answer is A and B and D. I went as a child and would LOVE to take my kids, There is a lot of WILL but I just don't see a WAY. If I did go I would love my parents to go, (driving around in carts-because they couldn't physically keep up walking-maybe I need one too!!!) and if this was a dream trip my husband's parents would go (but they are in another country and that would be a miracle in itself for them to even come to the United States)

I told my oldest when she was 3 that we she turned 6 we would go (that is next year and I don't see it happening) She keeps telling me we are going. It would be a Magical Trip of my 2 girl's lifetimes and I don't have the heart to tell my 5 year old any different. I want to see the Wonder in their eyes when they see" The Magic Kingdom", That would bring me right back to the time that I first saw it and I would be that small again one more time. Priceless memories. Maybe one day we might be able to go!!!! I still am hoping for a miracle

A. - I love Disney and it would be so wonderful to be able to go again. I have not been to Disney for over 5 years. The last time we went the kids were really small. It is such a magical place and I think we can all use a little magic right now!

A. I am so there. It (and all the other annual pilgrimages I make there) are going to be the dream trip of my life.

I don't know about annual pilgrimages - but I definitely want my son to be able to experience all the fun Disney has to offer him...and the spas will be a nice treat for me as well!

B. for sure! My then two year old and I visited Disneyland California on my last trip back home. We loved it. They were renovating Its a small world, which was disappoiting. Every parent wants their children to have everything they had growing up and more, but as a single mother that's not an easy feat. She remembers it as if it were yesterday. She talks of going again. It would be ny dream of dreams to take her to the resorts in Florida for a couple of weeks just to see her happy little face light up. It's a memory you keep forever. I still remember going as a child and want my child to have those fond memories as well.

My answer is A and B. Definitely the trip of a lifetime, no place I would rather take my family, but we have $ issues now so I don't know when it will happen. My 7 and 4 yr old boys are Disney fanatics!

E. Other - We are looking forward to taking our 2 girls to Disney for the first time but are waiting another year. They will be 5 & 6 next year and we think that is a good age. Meanwhile, we'd love to take them to Disney on ice! I got laid off in October so free tix would be the only way we could take them!

The question: What do you think when you think of a trip to Disney World with your kids?
I think of the trip that my family made there when I was five years old. It was a beautiful, magical time, and I still have some vivid memories of the trip, 35-plus years later.
I think about how I would love to take my son to Disney World. He loves the Disney movies and I think he will be quite enchanted to see the characters he loves "in person" and to visit the places he has seen in his beloved movies!
Now my question is, how can we make the trip as easy and economical as possible? I'm thinking (a) train; (b) hostel; (c) bring our own food for the trip; and (d) plan to arrive on my son's birthday! If we go by train, it will relatively inexpensive, and we can visit together/play along the way -- rather than paying attention to driving. If we stay in a nearby hostel rather than a full-price hotel, we can save quite a bit. Ditto with bringing our own food. Finally, if we go on his birthday, his admission will be free!

Yeah, the prices are crazy expensive, but look at the price of Disney on Ice. $22 per person for an 1 1/2 hr. and how close do you actually get! We did Disney and stayed from open to close each day, packed our meals, and stayed at a condo offsite with family. We were there for the Christmas festivities but before the crowds. It was a VERY memorable trip and we didn't go bankrupt on it.

I think of the time I took my GOD child. We loved watching the parade. Mickey and Minnie mouse were dancing along the street shaking hands. We took pictures with Mikey and Minnie. We enjoyed watching all the other Disney characters as they paraded down Disney Lane. I think of an event on the street that asked volunteers to dance to the sound of music freestyle. These are the things I think of when Disney World is mentioned. The rides and food were great too.

My answer: E FOR OTHER!!!
Being a previous career mom, I missed out on a-lot!!! So, after leaving my job of almost 20 years, I made the decision to give up the $$$ and stay at home with my son. We are having more fun than you could imagine and a trip to Disney World would be a once in a lifetime exerience.

My answer is A. for sure.....any time away from the norm (especially with my hubby and little one) is needed and much appreciated. He's 5 and we've yet to make a trip to Disney, but it is definitely on our list of things to do!

My answer would have been A a few years ago but now it is B. Before we had kids, we went almost once a year to Disney World, and we went once around my son's 3rd birthday when my daughter was about 2 1/2 months. My husband had a convention there and my mother-in-law went too or we probably wouldn't have gone, but the Magic Kingdom was really fun with our son. I'd love to go again soon, but I feel like the cost won't be worth it until my daughter is closer to 3.

Just got back from Disney on Sunday. First ever trip to Disney for my 3 kids. It was awesome!! The reason for the trip was because my oldest son's soccer team was accept for the Disney Jr Showcase. Therefore, we had discounted rooms and tickets, which made the trip less expensive and more manageable because the two older kids knew other kids so there was absolutely no boredom. My 4 yr old was on Disney overload, in fact she cried and didn't want to leave on Sunday.

When I think of Disney, I remember all the fun times we had there recently. I loved seeing my little girl's face, as she walked down main street & encountered a Disney's Southern Belle. The beautiful southern belle asked my daughter if she felt okay? Nicole smiled a huge grin & said she felt fine. The southern belle wanted her to see a Doctor Dave, because her ears were swollen(Nicole had a cute Minnie Mouse's hat on with red & white dots). Nicole said she was fine & giggled. The southern belle said that she was seeing spots & wondered if any one else was seeing spots.I wish, I would of gotten a picture, but I will never forget that special moment. Truly magical!

B. I've wanted to take our children for the past 5 years...with children ages 9,8,6 and 6 month old it has just been too expensive. I keep wishing money would grow on trees so I could take them to this magical place.
