We need a CHANGE in our School Board -- Tuesday Elections

Three cheers for Lilybug!   Like Lilybug, we also attend our "traditional option" school.  And on the way, we see countless others taking their kids to Daniels, Underwood, etc.  Schools that are really too far to travel to because the school across the street is year-round.  To take the bus, we have to leave at 6:25.  That's crazy.   But there are kids being bussed all around the county who do that every day.  And many of them are in nodes that get transfered to new schools continually in order to "keep the schools balanced."    Underwood has a new node this year that came from York Elementary.  I believe it's the same node that came to York two years ago from Lynn Elementary.   How are children supposed to react to that when it seems like no one wants them? Let's put the bussing money to better use, like getting better teachers with better pay.  And turning our schools into community schools that serve the needs of the children there -- and serve them sufficiently.

I too will be out on Tuesday voting for a CHANGE!

It makes no sense.I'm so tired of hearing about national awards, and having decisions made by 9 people who don't even have one kid between all of them in the system. Talk to families that are living this every day and find out what it's really doing for them!!
