What activities do you do w/ your lo?

My little one will be 1 soon, as well as many of her playmates. I am looking for activities that I can do around the house with her. I know that there is a drastic difference between ages 1 and 2, so I'd like to have ideas grouped for the following ages:

12 -16 months
16 - 20 months
20 -24 months

Individual play, group play, all ideas welcomed!!

Thank you!!

It's been a while - three years now. But I remember taking a lot of walks with my daughter when she was that age. I point out different things we saw on the walk - fire hydrants, trash cans, manhole covers, dogs, flowers, etc. We'd play an early version of I spy and she'd get a big kick pointing things out ..

At that age, they don't really play together I don't think. It's mostly individual play or playing next to other kids but not with. But any kind of sensory thing is good. Maybe playing in sand or dumping water in and out of cups, etc. Little instruments, etc.

Have you checked out the Toddler Busy Book by Tish Kuffner? It has some great easy ideas. The other book I like is First Art with art projects for that age.

We started with art projects around 15 months. Playdoh and crayons. We also did Do A Dot paints (paint markers) and water color paints with no spill paint cups. One of her favorite activities at about that age was painting with water - I would tape a piece of construction paper on the high chair tray and she would paint with water (no spill cup of course) and watch the water turn colors.

My daughter also LOVED sandbox play at that age. We also did puzzles and read a ton. I would build with the blocks and she would knock it down alot also.
