What's YOUR favorite book to read to your child?
I have a 6-month-old, and I love to watch him listen to Llama, Llama, Red Pajama. I can just say "Llama, Llama," and he'll whip around to see what's going on.

Tumble Bumble, by Felicia Bond.
Parts, by Tedd Arnold. Like the little boy in the story, my son, Nathan, was a very literal child. When he was three I asked him if he would like to have his friend Timmy "over for dinner". Nathan stopped in his tracks, his eyes grew huge and in a tone filled with shocked indignation he replied, "Mommy, we can't eat Timmy, he's my friend!"
Goodnight Moon...my "babies" are now 13 and 15 and I think I could still read that story without the book in my hands!
My boys (ages 4 & 5) love when I read "Robert the Rose Horse"--

I have allergies and this story is about a horse who is allergic to roses. My boys get a big kick out of it. I loved the story when I was a child, too, because I could relate to the horse. ;-)
I second the recommendation of "Parts" by Tedd Arnold. My older son has been losing baby teeth and the book had him laughing hysterically.
