Where did my weekend go?
What happened to weekends? I know that they are supposed to come after Friday. I remember looking forward to Fridays and the coming weekend. But once my children hit school-age, mysteriously.....my weekends disappeared. There is still a blur before I hit Monday again, but... where was the relaxation, the time with friends, the family dinners at the table? Seriously, we had four soccer games, and a birthdy party this weekend. Crazy, you may say, but this was actually a good weekend in that everything happened at different times so we did not have to be two places at once. Of course, this schedule sucked up any time we might have had to umm... sit down.
I love that my children have so many activities, and I love to stay busy, but I would like to see a little more of my husband on the weekends other than just high-fiving him on the way out the door.

I'm totally with you. My husband and I actually had a date this weekend - the first in maybe four months. It was 90 minutes at a restaurant down the street but at least it was away.
And this is the first Sunday in four weeks where we've actually not had much to do (you know - other than laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, errands, take the library books back, more laundry, etc.)
This scares me. I see my future, and it isn't pretty. Already the extracurrics are stressing me out. It's hard to juggle everything and my kids aren't even in real school yet!
