Who Cuts Your Hair?
I am in desperate need of a haircut over here -- my hair has just gotten waaaay too long (it's nearly down to my bottom). Does anyone have suggestions about good, inexpensive places to get a haircut? I'm not looking for anything fancy -- I'll probably just have them lop off 8 inches or so -- but my last experience at a discount place was a real disaster, so I'm gun-shy.
I'm particularly looking for recommendations in west Cary or Apex.
Thanks!

My worst hair cut experience was when I went to one of those really cheap places and the woman cutting my hair asked me if the place I was working (it was another paper at the time) was hiring. It was the worst haircut I've ever had. I had to go someplace else just to get it fix it.
I go to Jolie Day Spa in Cameron Village so not where you're looking - Mindy is great. Not too expensive. I think it's right around $30 (and I usually pay with gift certificates I get from my mom-in-law. I'm cheap).
I've gone to Mitchell's a couple of times and never had a bad experience - I think there's one at Cary Town Center.
I go to Sonia at Salon B Dazzle in Holly Springs. She is great! She'll listen and do exactly what you want her to do to your hair. I to am very nervous about others doing my hair. Check her out. Next to the salon they are opening a very cute nail salon. :) Good luck!
I'm not a big fan of getting my hair cut, so when I do I treat myself. I go to Primp Salonbar in downtown Raleigh. They do manicures, pedicures, waxing, massages and hair. The best part is that you can have a cocktail while you're being pampered. It's a unique experience.
Andrea always does a great job on my hair. The cut runs about 50 bucks. To me, it's well worth it.
Bent Tree in Clayton. Its really nice, reasonable, and they do great cuts and color.
