In honor of National Bear Awarness Week, the Museum of Life and Science will have a variety of programs the week of May 11 through May 17.

Here, join Animal Department Director Sherry Samuels and learn what it takes to take care of wild bears.

The Carolina Kids Expo is an interactive family event that draws parents and kids of all ages together for a weekend of education, entertainment, and fun. Exhibitors are businesses and organizations that provide services, programs, or products for families with children - performances, demonstrations, games and prizes, educational exhibits, stage activities, and interactive booths.

Event hours: Sat. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Free admission.

Celebrate Mother Nature on Mother's Day. Visit several hands-on stations complete with displays, educational games, and craft projects. Lots of kids activities and guided walks.
