Crossroads Fellowship in North Raleigh holds a giant yard sale featuring children's toys, clothes and other gear. Everything is priced to sell.

Join the Carolina RailHawk Dancers at a dance clinic. Learn to perform a half-time dance routine with the RailHawk dance team at a professional men's soccer game. Bring your daughter. Novices welcome.

Performance and game activities follow from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are optional.

Kids clothes, toys, books, nursery equipment, plus a maternity boutique, at First United Methodist Church in Cary. This is the church's 15th year hosting the sale. Organizers say it's the only consignment sale in Cary that donates all of its proceeds directly to local women's and children's missions.

The half price sale starts at 11 a.m. (doors close between 10: 45 and 11 a.m. to prepare).
