Little Computer Bugs LLC is now enrolling for Imagine Tomorrow Computer Classes for Kids to be held at Planet Child in Cary, North Carolina. Classes at Planet Child begin the week of September 8, 2008.

Each Imagine Tomorrow Computer Class combines a fun learning adventure with sophisticated technology concepts in a creative way that teaches children ages 2-7 to use computers as a tool. Tickets were to go on sale today for the annual favorite - the Museum of Life and Science's Santa Train. This year, there are 15 nights (five more than last year). The special nighttime train features lots of holiday lights, music, crafts and other fun.

Everyone is welcome to a fun family afternoon of games and prizes at the Curran Aquatic Center, 276 Convention Dr., next to the Cary Towne Center. The event is a fundraiser to help pay for children's swim lessons. UNC will be accepting donations to fund a child's swim lessons and provide eligible kids with Learn-To-Swim scholarships. All are invited to attend the fun family activities brought to you by UNC event organizers.

Popular Cherokee storyteller Lloyd Arneach will entertain with old stories of the Cherokee, along with contemporary tales. His storytelling style is humorous, informative and extremely moving. A member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Arneach has presented stories at the National Folklife Festival, the National Museum of the American Indian, and hundreds of other venues. PineCone co-sponsors the Nov. 16 performance.

Come to Jump!Zone's First Anniversary Party on November 16th! It's our Anniversary! Come help us celebrate on Sunday, November 16th from 11am until 6pm. Thanks to a grant from Durham Regional Hospital, Kidzu Children's Museum is free on Sundays through September 2009. Also on Sundays, with a grant from the Orange County Partnership for Children, the museum will offer free parenting information and dental health screenings.

Get out your tutus: it's a special NUTCRACKER storytime at 10 a.m, Nov. 17, presented by members of the City Ballet! Characters from Tchaikovsky’s THE NUTCRACKER leap from the storybook pages for preschoolers. Young dancers from City Ballet will share their love of ballet and the story of THE NUTCRACKER with our young audience, telling this timeless holiday story in full, dazzling stage costume. Clara and Dew Drop Fairy, along with a mouse and a soldier, will join our weekly storytime.

Elf on the Shelf Book Signing with author Chanda Bell. This is the only signing in the triangle and pre-orders are accepted.
